Birdshot Perspectives: Update on Research in Birdshot Uveitis

Birdshot Uveitis Society of North America announces the third presentation of its 2026 Webinar Series: Birdshot Perspectives.

Dr. Lucia Sobrin, MD, MPH of Massachusetts Eye and Ear will present Update on Research in Birdshot Uveitis on Sunday, September 13 at 1 pm ET. It will be a live webinar and will last an hour. 

Dr. Sobrin is a leading uveitis specialist and researcher. She serves ME&E as Associate Director for Retina Service and Co-Fellowship Director for Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Fellowship. She is also the Charles Edward Whitten Professor of Ophthalmology. 

In her presentation, Dr. Sobrin will cover recent advances in the diagnosis of birdshot uveitis and new findings in eye imaging. She will also offer insights into what might be causing the disease, particularly in which immune system changes play important roles.  Finally, Dr. Sobrin will share what is new and on the horizon for the treatment of birdshot.
