The Board Of Directors Thanks Andrea Munk For Her Dedication
Birdshot Uveitis Society of North America has accepted the resignation of Andrea Munk from its Board of Directors. Andrea, a resident of Marlboro, New Jersey, is a founding member of BUSNA and has been a valued member of its governing board since 2020. She has served on the organization’s board in a variety of capacities.
Andrea’s official titles of Assistant Treasurer and Social Media Manager do not begin to describe her contributions to BUSNA. She also manages the BUSNA website, and she has impacted just about every BUSNA project with her organizational skills. Leanne Oswald, a fellow board member, writes that “as a founding board member of BUSNA, Andrea has been instrumental in shaping our nonprofit into what it is today. Her talents include stellar bookkeeping, computer skills, design of our BUSNA merchandise, marketing and sales.” She has been vital to our success.
Christine Griffith, BUSNA President, writes that as a member of Birdshot Uveitis Society of North America, “Andrea has been an incredible advocate for those living with birdshot uveitis. She has been a hard-working and reliable team member over the course of the last 5 1/2 years. Andrea was often the first to volunteer for a new role, taking on many tasks, including the management of our organization’s new website, Squarespace. Her dedication to BUSNA and its mission has made a lasting impact on our community. We thank her for her dedication and wish her all the best.”
All board members commend Andrea for her valued service to our community. Tracy Grieco, BUSNA’s newest board member, says, “We are grateful for Andrea's years of dedicated service. Her commitment, leadership, and heart helped shape BUSNA from its earliest days, and she will be missed.” Mari Schlorff writes that she has “enjoyed being involved in many meaningful collaborations with her over the years and she will be greatly missed.”
Liz Cohen and Josette Abruzzini join in thanking Andrea for her selfless service to our organization and for her friendship with each of us. She will always be part of our BUSNA family, and we wish her well on her future journey.
