Birdshot Perspectives : Long-term Safety of Immunomodulatory Therapy in the Treatment of Birdshot Chorioretinitis
Birdshot Uveitis Society of North America announces the fourth presentation of its 2026 Webinar Series: Birdshot Perspectives.
Dr. Jennifer E. Thorne, MD, PhD of Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine, will present Long-term Safety of Immunomodulatory Therapy in the Treatment of Birdshot Chorioretinitis on Monday, October 5 at 5:30 pm. The live webinar will last an hour.
Dr. Thorne is the Cross Family Professor of Ophthalmology and chief of the Division of Ocular Immunology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine. She holds a joint appointment as the professor of epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. An internationally recognized ophthalmologist, she is an expert in the evaluation and management of patients with uveitis and other related immune-mediated disorders.
A friend of BUSNA since its earliest days, this is Dr. Thorne’s second live presentation to our birdshot community. She is also the lead researcher in the BUSNA-funded AI Birdshot Study currently being completed at Johns Hopkins.
