In honor of Rare Disease Day 2022, Birdshot Uveitis Society of North America will kick off February with a
7-day clothing sale. Proceeds will support research for Birdshot Uveitis, a rare auto-immune disease of the eye. The sale is being run through Bonfire, which had also managed BUSNA's Fall 2020 T-shirt sale.
Rare Disease Day is a patient-led movement that highlights rare diseases in many countries around the world. The rarest day of the shortest month, February 29th, (or February 28th on non-leap years) has been chosen as a special day to raise awareness of the approximately 6,000 diseases that have been classified as rare.
In the United States, fewer than 1 in 200,000 people are diagnosed with Birdshot Uveitis. To learn more, visit Rare Disease Day 2022 (Click and scroll down to watch this year's video) or read BUSNA's Rare Disease Day 2021 blogpost, Show Your Stripes.
For this year's BUSNA clothing sale, nine different items are available in a variety of sizes and up to five colors options.
Offerings include 2 t-shirt styles, 2 tank tops, 2 long sleeve shirts, a crewneck sweatshirt and a hoodie. There is also a children's long-sleeved shirt available in two colors. Prices run from $23.99 to $39.99.
