Birdshot Retinochoroidopathy or Birdshot Uveitis is commonly referred to as Birdshot. This non-infectious posterior uveitis is a rare auto-immune disease. It mainly affects the retina and choroid.

 

Birdshot Uveitis is more common in women than men. It typically affects Caucasian women between the ages of 30 and 60. If unrecognized or undertreated it can be severe and blinding.

 

There is currently no cure for Birdshot Uveitis.
